5 miles (15 kilometres) from central London

MyBromley
Originally part of Kent, Bromley became a market town after receiving a charter in 1158. The opening of its railway station in 1858 helped drive expansion, transforming the area from a largely rural settlement into a growing urban town.
Bromley became a municipal borough in 1903 and was incorporated into the London Borough of Bromley in 1965. Today, its town centre is known for its shopping areas, restaurants, businesses and transport links to central London.
The town also offers parks, leisure facilities and educational institutions, making it an important destination for residents and visitors across south-east London. Bromley is recognised as one of Greater London's metropolitan centres under the London Plan.
