The bats are away for the winter, but it was a great summer for cricket in the borough.
Hayes finished as runners-up in the Kent Cricket League Premier Division after winning away at Minster on the final weekend, and their 2nd XI won Division Two. St Lawrence & Highland Court took the Premier Division title.
Bickley Park are going up. They won the Championship, sealing it with a derby win at Bromley Common, and will play in the Premier Division next summer.
Bromley Cricket Club signed off their Premier Division season with a home win over Sevenoaks Vine, making 255 for 8 to beat Sevenoaks Vine's 244 for 9, with Sean Thompson (61) and Ollie Streets (53 not out) leading the way. The win secured a top-half finish.
That means the borough will have three clubs in the Kent Premier Division in 2027: Bromley, Hayes and Bickley Park.
Many of our local clubs run winter nets and junior coaching, and they are always looking for new players, umpires and volunteers. If your club has news, a winter training session or an open day, send it to us and we'll share it on our Sports News page. You can also post on our Sports Players Needed page if you need players.
